Blog post #9

Oh boy that time of the year again where you are back to being the young grade and people treating you like you’re the most annoying person ever because they saw ONE sophomore act like that. But anyway my best advice I could give you would be to work hard. I thought it was so easy at the begging of school put teachers start to get harder on you. I also recommend having communication with your teachers so they can help and find a way to work with the problem or whatever. Oh also, use tutorial time wisely that tutorial has really saved my ass. I have currently enrolled in R.E.A.L team. Real team is the people that are in charge of ribbon weeks. I highly recommend getting involved in clubs or after school activities because they will really interest you in what you want to do in your future. I truly wish you bet of luck throughout your journey!

End To a Great Year

5/16/19 See it Through
.
5/16/19 Brighter Than Ever
5/16/19 In Case of Fire
5/16/19 Letters
5/16/19 Bad Habits
5/16/19 Delia

I used a lot of tools for my final project. It was very hard to come up with new ideas for them all but I got through it. I used a lot of tools with layers. I also used a lot of color filters. The brush tool is my best friend.

I had kind of a hard time in this class. I take better pictures on my phone rather than my crappy camera. But anyway I ended up really enjoying this class even though I don’t remember a lot of the photo shop tools. I can see my self continuing to take pictures and posting them on here. I appreciate this class and everything it has taught me. I really didn’t think there was a lot to learn with photography besides parts of a camera. I enjoy taking photos and hope i can continue. So thank you Mrs. Banta

Motion

5/10/19 Thirsty?
I took this picture in D building for my motion photos. I took this picture for moving water. I had to get down a little to take it. The f/stop is 3.7 and the shutter speed is 1/35.
5/10/19 Drop
I also took this picture where I took the picture above in D building. This picture was taken for stopped water. The f/stop for this picture is 3.7 and the shutter speed is 1/35. I really do not like how it is dirty but it think it is really detailed.
5/10/19 Wont Stop Cant Stop
Can you guess where I took this picture? Also in D building. This took us forever because I wanted her to run I would get her running but it didn’t turn out that well. So I eventually just had her dance in the middle. The f/stop is 3.7 and the shutter speed is 1/8.
5/10/19 Finally Stopped
Ope well this picture was also taken in D building. This picture was taken for motion freeze. The background is blurry but my subject isn’t. We sat and laughed at this picture for a min and I can’t remember why. The f/stop is 3.7 and the shutter speed is 1/8.

Scavenger Hunt

5/10/19 Down Below
I took this picture in a building of my school. I needed to take a picture of a worms eyes view. My f/stop was 3.7 and the shutter speed is 1/60.
5/10/19 Buns on Bricks
This picture was take in my school cafeteria. This picture was taken for a brown photo. My f/stop is 3.7 and my shutter speed was 1/60. I had to take many of these because I wanted it to be perfect. I think this one was the best one.
5/10/19 In the Dark
I took this picture in A building on the ramp at my school also. I needed to take this picture for leading lines. If you look close enough Delia is in the background. I like this picture because it highlights the bar. The f/stop is 3.7 and my shutter speed is 1/60.

So from what I have heard schools pretty easy right? Well, I guess you’re right on some parts of school. But with me being in school and stuff everyone is different and everybody learns different. SOME teachers expect everyone to just learn the same but lots of us don’t. Like, its really hard for me to keep the basic concepts in my head and remember them. Its fully and completely my responsibility. SOME teachers are understanding and helps us and really doesn’t expect a lot of us. A lot of the time it is hard for me to keep my grades up and work hard because, I have a lot of stuff in my personal and family life that I am too embarrased to say. Because lots of teachers hear those and think that kids just say that. But honestly I try my hardest to do what I can.

Light & Shadow

4/26/2019. I took a few of these but this one happens to be my favorite. I like the shadows of her hair are really detailed. Her hair is really highlighted in a certain spot which makes it even better. We were walking around outside for a minute and trying to find pictures but we needed a dark room. The racquetball room in our school was smart because its dark in there and we thought we could get some really detailed pictures.
The shutter stop is 1/17 and the f/3.0.

The process for this picture is the funniest because, I couldn’t figure out what shadow object to do and my friend Delia thought it would be funny to act like shes holding the pole. During this some people were walking behind us and laughing. This picture we took outside in the parking lot. The shutter speed is 1/180 and the f/5.8.

I took this picture foe the highlight. We also took this picture in the racquetball room this was a lengthy process to try and take this. The highlighted part on this picture is the lens or the Kodak label. The shutter speed is 1/8 and the f/3.0.

This picture was taken for back lighting. My friend looks like she drew the sun with her fingers because of how the the sun and the fingers lined up. The mountains look really pretty in the background. The shutter speed is 1/500 and the f/5.8.

What I wish teachers knew about me and my school experience is that after school I have things going on in my life and math homework that is important because I have a bad grade. What I wish teachers knew about me and my school experience is that my head hurts when I do things and focus way to long on them. I need a brain break!

Something that I wish i could learn in school that teachers see, not to teach is life skills. Such as how to do my taxes, how to manage time, or even learn how to color in the lines. But they decide that me learning how to find an angle in a circle is better.

Scavenger Hunt

I took this picture for the triangle on our scavenger hunt. Although it was really hard to take the picture when the sun is in your face. I couldn’t tell what this picture was going to turn out to look like but this is one of my favorite. The f speed was 22.0 and the shutter speed was 1/1250.

This is one of the pictures for framing that I took because it has one of my best friends in it. I made it so it was a bit blurry but still could tell what was going on. Plus my best friend is gorgeous. The f speed is 4.5 and the shutter speed is 1/40.

Deeper Thinking

Did you ever think how you are connected to the book you’re reading? Well, right now I am reading the book “Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda” I am really enjoying this book so far. At the begging his friend or kid he has class with his name is Martin, he ended up finding his email that he left open and Simon gets all angry about it. The kid then blackmails him to talk to the girl he likes. Which is really messed up. But anyway I want to talk about the connection I have with this book. I have a text to self connection which means I feel like I have to understand a different side to things to understand the whole situation, or I am scared of being judgmental. I feel like when you make the connection with your book you understand it better and you get into the book better. Thanks for reading:)
